Placer Court - General Unit: Ratification Vote Postponed - Back to Mediation
On Thursday, October 17, 2024, we thought that this morning would be a quick meeting to sign off on the terms of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Well, we were wrong. Unfortunately, your bargaining team and Court Management were not on the same page and are not in agreement on the understanding of which monies would be tied to the reopener ("Me Too") language. It was our understanding that all monies, ongoing and one-time, would be covered in that language, but the Court disagreed.
Needless to say, there will not be a ratification vote this week, and we will be selecting dates for the second phase of mediation. Once we have a date, we will be sure to let the membership know. Thank you all for your continued support of the bargaining team.
