On September 17, 2024, your Placer Court Bargaining Team met with Court Administration for our eighth session of contract negotiations.
Your team reached tentative agreements on two more items: transcript preparation time and extended leave. These were huge wins, as we were able to secure 16 hours of transcript preparation time per year for our hardworking Court Reporters! We brought our economic proposals back to the table but received almost no movement from the Court. They came back with another upsetting proposal: 3.5% in year one with a 0.5% one-time payment and 2% in year two with a 1% one-time payment. We are pushing for higher, but they keep playing around with a sum of 7%. We will continue to do our best and will not stop until there is no more room left to negotiate.
