On September 4, 2024, your Placer Court Bargaining Team met with Court Administration for our sixth session of contract negotiations.
Your team presented three counter proposals: renaming “Legal Processing Clerk” to Court Clerk, Court Clerk Entry and union release time. We received a hefty packet from the Court, rejecting five of our proposals, countering seven, and only agreeing to two regarding wellness leave and release time. Worst of all, was their disappointing and insulting response to our economic proposal. They only offered 2% in year one and 2% in year two. If the Court’s trust fund allocation were to exceed $24,900,000 there would be a 1% increase and a 1% one-time in year three. If the allocation is below $24,900,000, year three would be a 2% one-time. Obviously, we are in no way considering this, as there is more room to bargain. Your bargaining team is trying to find a suitable location for a Bargaining Action Committee meeting to involve you all in this process with us. Once we have a date and location, we will be sure to let you know.
