On October 14, 2024, our bargaining team had our first mediation session with the Court and their lead negotiator from the Judicial Counsel. During the meeting, both sides presented their positions in an attempt to reach an agreement. Unfortunately, we were unable to do so, and we will now proceed to the next step of mediation with a state mediator. The Court remains opposed to our "Me too" clause, which is designed to ensure that all Court employees are treated fairly in terms of salary increases.
We will hold a membership meeting this Thursday, October 17th, at 5 p.m. at the Howard G. Gibson Courthouse, in the Jury Assembly room on the second floor. This meeting will provide an opportunity for everyone to ask questions about bargaining and to understand our next steps.
