On July 24, 2024, your Placer Court Bargaining Team met with Court Administration for our first session of contract negotiations. Being the first session, we did not expect a lot from the Court but did receive one proposal. Their proposal would lead to a change in names of Court classifications, including Clerk I, II, and II, to be named Legal Processing Clerk (entry) and Legal Processing Clerk.
Your team presented seven non-economic proposals, which consist of some clean-up language, changes to grievance processing for stewards, and personnel files. These are a few initial proposals while we wait for more comprehensive budget information. Our next session is on August 7, and the following dates are below. Your bargaining team asks that you wear RED on bargaining days to support the team.
