On January 31, 2023, UPE met with the County regarding the above new policy and procedure to discuss and mitigate any impact/s on the membership.
UPE requested that this be made into two separate policies, to which the County responded they were amenable to that. We also requested that the County be specific on which Social Worker does what tasks, and the County’s response was, “any Social Worker can do all the tasks involved.” Clarification was made that the timeframe a Social Worker has to upload documentation is five (5) working days. We requested that the County clarify the law regarding families that will not pass a 309ER with regards to completing an in-home assessment prior to the court order. Once they answer, we will meet again.
Thank you to the participants,
