On September 25, 2024, your UPE Court Professional Negotiations Team continued negotiations with Sacramento Superior Court. The Court and UPE reached tentative agreement on two proposals. One doubles the Court’s contribution to retiree health care costs. These rates have not increased since 2008 and this represents a very positive step for our members. In addition, the parties agreed to an additional floating holiday. This brings the total floating holiday hours to 40 a year. However, the two sides remain seriously divided on the matter of salary. While the Court made some movement towards UPE’s position, the two sides are still far apart. Negotiations will continue again on October 9, 2024.
