UPE Members can participate in their union in a number of different ways. While some members may choose to become Board Members or Stewards others may choose to support the union in other critical ways. UPE is always looking for ways to engage with its membership. Maybe you want to work with UPE to give back to the community. Maybe you want to help advocate for a political candidate or piece of legislation. Maybe you just want to help spread the word about UPE to your coworkers. Whatever your level of involvement, UPE would love to support you.

Become a steward.

Stewards are our advocates in the workplace. They are fighting to protect workers' rights, enforcing the contract and a voice for our membership. Stewards are organizers, and communicators. Having strong leaders and advocates in the workplace, makes us a stronger union.

These trainings are for any member who is interested in learning more about their rights and how to make a difference in their workplace.

Stewards assist with union matters in the workplace.
Stewards training & council meetings are the third Thursday of each month, 6:00pm at UPE.
You do not need to be a Steward to attend a Stewards Training. Call our office if you plan to attend.
